The Given Time was a obscure 1960s garage rock one-man band, that was inspired by US garage rock from around 1966-1967 and had lyrics around the concept of 'time'.
February 14, 2008, Danny wrote part of a 1960s song entitled Time Is All We Got, that he didn't do anything with until September 30, 2011, when a rehearsal recording was made consisting of an unplugged electric guitar with vocals. February 16, 2012, Danny laid down the live drums for this song at the Toner Low rehearsal room. Later that day and the next day the guitars, bass guitar and vocals were recorded at home. Shortly thereafter the song I've Built A Time Machine was recorded over the slowed down and digitally edited drum track of the first one. Although the two songs sound pretty authentic, they were not released.
